Agerpres - 18 March 2010
The Automobile Dacia company on Thursday launched the Duster SUV in Romania, the sixth model of the Dacia make, which was launched in early March at the 80th Geneva Motor Show.
In Romania Dacia Duster will cost between 10,500 euros, for the 4x2, 1.6 and 105 HP version, and 15,600 euros, for the 4x4, 1.5 dCI and 110 HP Laureate version.
Duster will consolidate the international expansion of Dacia and it will allow us to bring new clients, attracted by the modern and robust aspect, and especially by the performance-price ratio, said Dacia general manager Jerome Olive.
Former Formula 1 champion Alain Prost and national football team coach Razvan Lucescu attended the above-mentioned event.
Duster has already proved its performances in competitions. I am sure that this will also be confirmed by the sales numbers. Duster is a car that the Romanians can be proud of, said Alain Prost.
Duster will be up to 5,000 euros cheaper than the competing models.
The Duster SUV could represent, this year, around 20 percent of the Romanian factory's production, ie over 60,000 units, ranking third after Sandero and Logan sedan in terms of the number of units.
