The reference exchange rate settled by the central lender BNR lowered 0.05 percent from the previous session, to 4.0801 lei per euro, indicating the minimum level since January 7 last year, as the national currency advanced gradually in the first part of the session, to below 4.08 lei per euro.
For the U.S. dollar, BNR's exchange rate rose 0.74 percent from yesterday, to 2.9817 lei per dollar.
BNR posted an average interbank bid rate (ROBID) of 2.77 percent a year, up from 2.75 percent in the previous session, and an interbank offer rate for overnight deposits (ROBOR) of 3.27 percent, above the previous 3.25 percent.
