Industrial production prices grow by 6.9% in July

The industrial production prices (both on the domestic and the foreign market) grew by 6.9 percent in July, 2010, vs. July 2009, and by 0.1 percent compared to June, this year, say temporary data, the National Statistics Institute (INS) made public on Thursday.
Compared to the data about the price rises that the industrial production registered in July, 2010, vs. those in the same month, last year, the highest growths, according to each activity field, are the following: the processing industry (plus 8 percent) the water supply, the sanitation and the waste management, decontamination activities (plus 5.6 percent) the extractive industry (plus 3.8 percent) electricity, heating, natural gas and warm water making and supply, and air conditioning (plus 2.6 percent.)
The energy making industry (plus 11 percent) and the intermediary goods industry (plus 7.2 percent) top the ranking of the big industrial groups, contingent of the highest price rises. The lowest prices, beneath the general average, were scored in the consumer goods (plus 5.6 percent), durable goods industry (plus 3.6 percent) and the capital goods industry (plus 1.4 percent).
