Central Depository registers another nine US companies in RoClear system

Another nine United States-based companies have been registered in the RoClear offset-settlement and register system managed by the Central Depository, the institution announced in a release on Tuesday.
It said in the RoClear system there were, on a participant's request, registered financial instruments issued by companies JPMorgan Chase & Co, Visa Inc., Apple Inc., Microsoft Corporation, Google Inc., The Coca-Cola Company, Intel Corporation, McDonald's Corporation and Merck & Company Inc.
There now are 13 U.S. companies the financial instruments of which are registered in the Central Depository offset-settlement and register system.
The Central Depository makes its clients available the most diversified range of financial instruments and it is the only depository in the region offering both Free of Payment settlement and Delivery versus Payment services for all the existing connections.
The transborder connection to the United States became operational at end-2010, allowing the settlement by financial instruments managed by DTC (Depository Trust Company) and FED (Federal Reserve Bank) and government bonds issued by the U.S. Treasury.
The financial instruments issued by the nine U.S. companies are available for transborder settlement operations, the release said.
