Gabriel Sincu – the First Mazars Partner of Romanian Nationality
MAZARS ROMÂNIA S.R.L. - 8 March 2010
Gabriel Sincu, 36, coordinator of the Tax Advisory and Outsourcing Services Departments of Mazars auditing and consulting company, has become the first partner of Romanian nationality of this international organization.
Gabriel Sincu has been appointed in the managerial structures of Mazars Group boasting 607 partners worldwide during the Partners' Annual Conference which has recently been held in London.
As a result of this decision, Sincu becomes the third partner of Mazars, Bucharest Office, alongside Jean-Pierre Vigroux, Managing Partner, and Hubertus Eichler, German & Austrian Desk Coordinator.
'The promotion of a team member of Mazars in Romania to the position of partner, following his career-building within the company, is a telling proof of the maturity reached by local expertise. I may say, from my experience, that companies develop at a faster pace when they include local partners in managerial structures, and I am convinced that I shall live this experience again with Gabriel as well,' states Jean-Pierre Vigroux, Managing Partner of Mazars in Romania.
Mazars is one of the strongest players in the Romanian audit and consultancy market, ranking the sixth highest among them with a turnover in 2009 worth approximately EUR 4 million. The local team includes about 100 experts (auditors, accountants, tax consultants and lawyers) who adjust their approach to the specific requirements of every client, irrespective of such client's size, industry or purpose. The privileged business partnership with clients, along with a vast expertise, high qualification and experience acquired by company's experts in compliance with the Romanian, French, German or British legislation, represents one of the strong points of Mazars team.
'I feel honoured to be one of the international partners of a firm staffed by 12,000 employees in 55 countries on the five continents. I consider that my promotion demonstrates the Group's interest in having a solid presence in the Romanian market, and I wish that the recent years' expansion of our office continued, while Mazars consolidates its position of top player in auditing and advisory services,' states Gabriel Sincu, Partner, Head of Tax Advisory Services & Outsourcing Services Departments.
Gabriel Sincu has a 12-year experience in taxation and is a member of the Romanian Chamber of Tax Consultants (CCFR), the Romanian Chartered and Certified Accountants Body (CECCAR), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK (ACCA), and of the Romanian Association of Internal Auditors (AAIR/IIA). He joined Mazars team in April 2007 when Mazars merged with RSM Hemmelrath, a company with which he had worked for eight years. He is a graduate of the Finance and Banking Faculty of the Academy of Economic Studies of Bucharest, and commenced his career in 1997 with the Tax Control Department of the Romanian Ministry of Finance.
Currently, Gabriel Sincu coordinates the Tax Advisory Services Department and the Outsourcing (Accounting and Payroll) Services Department. Under his management, the Outsourcing Services Department witnessed speeded-up development in the past year, by attracting new clients that are active in various industries such as retail sales, pharmaceutical and health industries, chemical and agrochemical industries, production, and publishing services.
'In 2010, the tax consultancy and outsourcing services market will further witness the trends of last year. Large transactions which are the <spices> of our business will continue being few, but we shall focus on smaller transactions and ongoing tax advisory services, assisting clients in finding solutions to their day-by-day problems. As regards outsourcing services, they have remarkably grown despite the tendency of ever more companies to be reluctant to outsource their accounting and payroll. However, such option offers them higher flexibility as well as direct access to renowned experts who keep abreast with the latest developments in the area,' states Gabriel Sincu, Partner.
During the recent Partners' Annual Conference in London, Mazars has published the fifth edition of the Group's Annual Report, as restated, which may also be read at http://annualreport.mazars.com. Mazars is the sole international group active in the audit and consultancy area that publishes, in the spirit of transparency, the consolidated accounts of the Group, which have been audited in compliance with IFRS. Such restatement equally reflects the appropriate organisation of operations management, the geographical expansion strategy and the vision of Mazars.
