VentureConnect project initiated by Biris Goran

Recognizing the tremendous potential of this market sector, the strong interest of investors together with theirinvestment parameter requirements, VentureConnect is setting up a forum which would periodically bring togetherfor a one day event in Bucharest a selected number of investors and pre-screened entrepreneurs (orentrepreneurial teams) for a maximized direct business and result oriented interaction.VentureConnect has established an Advisory Board whose members include long established successful playerson the Romanian on-line/IT market: along with its attorney founders, Ana Maria Andronic (Senior Associate withBiris Goran) and Daniel F. Visoiu (Partner with Biris Goran), the advisory board members include Marius Ghenea(a well-known Romanian serial entrepreneur and business-angel), Radu Georgescu (a serial entrepreneur andPresident of Gecad), Orlando Nicoara (general manager with Apropo Media and on-line entrepreneur) and DragosRoua (a serial on-line entrepreneur and location independent business maverick).Interested entrepreneurs are encouraged to submit their executive summaries to the Advisory Board and shouldtheir businesses or projects prove to be commercially viable and scalable, then the selected entrepreneurs wouldparticipate in the forum. The forum event shall be structured in two sessions: a morning session where theselected entrepreneurs will pitch their projects before all the attending investors and an afternoon session wherethe entrepreneurs will get the opportunity to have a one-to-one detailed discussion with an investor (or more as thecase may be) who expresses interest in a particular project during the morning session.Marius Ghenea: 'I am honored to be on the Board of VentureConnect, I think it is a valuable initiative enablingmany Romanian start-up entrepreneurs to connect with various types of investors from abroad as well as fromRomania in a structured way, for the first time.
