Millennium Bank promotes the Salary Account through an unconventional interactive contest

Millennium Bank launched 'Millennium Treasure', an unconventional interactive contest, with significant prizes, to promote its Salary Account. Clients who collect Millennium Treasure coins get the chance to win one year average net salary per economy or one of the other seven prizes.
The total awards are worth RON 34,500. Millennium Treasure coins can be collected from Millennium Bank branches and from online media - the bank's website www.millenniumbank.ro, Facebook and 200 other websites from Google network.
Millennium Bank's Salary Account is destined to clients who regularly transfer their monthly income to the bank. The account is available in RON and offers zero administration fee, zero fee for withdrawals from Millennium Bank ATMs, as well as gratuity for two withdrawals per month from any other banks' ATMs, free access to Internet Banking and Call Center services and zero administration fee, during the first year, for the chip debit card attached to the account.
Also, in order to encourage bills payment through Internet Banking, Millennium Bank waived the bank fee for inter-banking transfers in amount of maximum RON 200. Other benefits of the Salary Account include preferential interest rates for loans, higher rates for deposits created through Internet Banking and overdraft of up to three salaries.
Within Millennium Treasure campaign, Millennium Bank also created two online applications to facilitate the clients' access to the bank's branches. The first one, an augmented reality application, can be used for smartphones. Once installed, the phone camera shows, for each direction, details on the address and phone number of the closest Millennium Bank branches within the chosen distance. The second application, 'Millennium on your way', can be used on computers and smartphones and configures the optimal route between two destinations so that it includes a Millennium Bank branch.
The grand prize of Millennium Treasure contest consists of an average net salary per economy paid for an entire year. The two second prizes consist of the salary for three months, and the five third prizes consist of one month's salary. The contest ends on March 11, and the winners will be announced in the second half of March 2011.
