KPMG in Romania appoints new partner in management consulting
KPMG ROMÂNIA S.R.L. - 31 October 2011
KPMG in Romania has appointed a new Partner, Dinu Bumbăcea, who will join the firm's Management Consulting department, designed to provide coordinated assistance to clients, involving finance function transformation, IT Advisory, as well as advice in making business operations more efficient.
Dinu comes to KPMG with over 18 years experience, 11 of which have been at Partner level, and 10 of which have been focused on the Romanian market.
During his career, Dinu has coordinated a wide range of business advisory projects in Romania, Moldova, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Russia, with a particular specialism in telecommunications, the public sector, pharmaceuticals and private equity.
As Dinu explains: 'A successful advisory project requires many ingredients - a good knowledge of the industry and of business models within it, alignment on strategy and actions between the consultants and the company's management, as well as smooth integration of the consultants into the project team. We work closely with the management and the project teams in the design and implementation of new business models and related technologies, which give the client significantly enhanced performance and a stronger competitive position in the long term.'
As Serban Toader, Senior Partner at KPMG in Romania, adds: 'We began to develop our Advisory Services before the recession started, in anticipation of changed needs. Since the onset of the downturn we have seen particularly strong demand for these services. We help firms to focus on their core, profitable activities so that they are in a stronger position to withstand the recession, and will be better placed to benefit from the recovery when it comes. Over-diversification was typical during the boom years, and this needed to be addressed by many companies when economic conditions became more difficult. So I'm very pleased to welcome Dinu to the Partnership. He brings his extensive experience and identifies strongly with KPMG values: professional excellence and commitment to clients as well as having strong leadership qualities.'
As Dinu continues: 'It's an honour to join KPMG, a firm which I have long admired for its high standards of professionalism and integrity. I'm impressed with the innovative spirit of the team and its commitment to delivering clients the quality services which will add value to their business. My aim is for KPMG to be the preferred provider of advisory services on the Romanian market, and I believe we can offer more through our high quality integrated services, tailor-made to suit the overall needs of each individual client. I'm especially optimistic when I look at KPMG's results - even as the Romanian professional services market has declined in recent years, KPMG has grown. This shows that the company adapts its services well to meet its clients' requirements as economic circumstances change. So I'm looking forward to future successes!'
