BVB liquidity, up 25pc in week ending Jan. 25

Trade on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) went up 25 percent in the week ending January 25, on a weekly basis, standing at RON 62.3 million.
According to data with the Intercapital Invest stock broker, the most liquid stocks of the week were BRD-GSG and SIF Oltenia, which made up 13.8 percent and 11.72 percent, respectively, of the total weekly trade.
The five financial investment companies (SIFs) contributed nearly 47 percent to the total trade, while the oil stocks contributed 12.82 percent.
Trade in securities totalled RON 20.73 million in the week ending January 25, with the highest dealings being recorded in World Bank securities.
All the stock exchange indices underwent negative corrections, declining by between 0.96 percent - in the case of the BET main index - and 6.52 percent - in the case of the BET-FI index of SIF securities.
In the week under review, seven issuers reported growth, five levelled off and 48 declined. The highest appreciations were recorded by shares in Rompetrol Well Services (26.43 percent) and in Siretul Pascani (13.65 percent), while the largest depreciations were recorded in Contor Group shares (54.5 percent) and Alumil (34.78 percent).
