Romania’s core bourse BSE climbs 2.5% at rising bell, following optimism on Wall Street

Indexes on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) rose significantly after the first transactions this morning, up to 2.5 percent for the BET index, following upward evolution of American bourses, on hopes regarding a new plan to save the economy.
The Chamber of Representatives adopted a plan to save the economy worth 819 billion dollars last night, sustained by President Barack Obama, but without the votes of the republicans.
The BET index of the ten best companies on BSE hiked 2.54 percent to 2,342.98 and the BET-C composite index assessing all listed shares without financial companies nudged up 1.87 percent to 1,543.47.
The BET-FI index assessing the evolution of SIFs climbed 1.95 percent to 10,639 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna grew 2.23 percent to 4,719.38.
The BET-XT index assessing the 25 most liquid companies on the bourse added 2.35 percent to 223.54 and the BET-NG index reflecting the evolution of the ten power companies increased 1.90 percent to 333.27.
