Foreign investments flow falls in last part of 2008
AGERPRES - Romanian News Agency - 30 Ianuarie 2009
Foreign investments flow to Romania followed a steep decline in the last part of 2008, below 400 million euros compared to 963 million euros in October, announced on Thursday, at Victoria Palace, Minister of Public Finance Gheorghe Pogea.
He said the foreign investors' trust was eroded as a result of the fiscal-budgetary policy in 2008, of the slippages in the last part of the year and the lack of predictability.
Pogea also said that one of the authorities set priorities is to further make Romania attractive for foreign investors, even under crisis conditions.
According to Romania's National Bank, foreign direct investments totalled 8.64 billion euros over January-November 2008.
