The budget for 2009 includes the capitalization of CEC Bank by 900 million lei, but no supplementary capitalization for Eximbank, the general secretary of the National Association of Exporters and Importers (ANEIR) Mihai Ionescu.
The budget draft includes 400 million lei for counter-guarantee fund, but it does not include supplementary funds for guarantee funds, Ionescu said, at a conference with the occasion of signing a partnership for the support of the companies in Romania. ANEIR required the use of the Eximbank profit in 2008 at the capitalization of the bank by 70 million lei and supplementary funds of 500 million lei in the second part of the year, under the conditions where the draft budget does not include sums for the capitalization of the institution, the general secretary of ANEIR said.

In the plan there are 900 million lei for CEC Bank capitalization, O for Eximbank capitalization, O for the increase of the guarantee funds and 400 million lei for Counter-guarantee Fund" the general secretary of ANEIR Mihai Ionescu said.

Moreover, ANEIR will require the doubling of the funds offered to EximBank for the support of exporters, from 270 million lei at the equivalent of at least 100 million euro, Ionescu said.
