Romania's gold reserve stands at 103.7 tonnes

Romania's gold reserve maintained at 103.7 tonnes and allowing for the developments of international prices, its value stood at 2.379 billion euros on January 31.
The National Bank of Romania (BNR) announced that the currency reserve totalled 26.009 billion euros compared to 26.220 billion euros on December 31, 2008.
The currency inflows stood at 3.089 billion euros, representing the modifications of minimal reserves in foreign currency established by credit institutions, the supply of the account of the Ministry of Public Finance, revenues from the management of international reserves, operations on interbanking market and others.
The outflows totalled 3.300 billion euros, representing the modifications of minimal reserves in foreign currency established by credit institutions, payments in the account of the European Commission, payments of instalments and interests due to the public external debt and guaranteed by the state, operations on intrebanking market.
Overall international reserves (foreign currency plus gold) on January 31, 2009 were of 28388 billion euros.
The payments falling due in February 2009 in the account of the public external debt, direct or guaranteed by the Ministry of Public Finance, total 80 million euros.
