Hotels company Turism Felix adds 38% to annual profit last year, to 9.64m lei

Romanian hotels company Turism Felix (TUFE) posted a 38 percent advance of yearly net profit last year to 9.64 million lei on rising revenues, according to the preliminary results sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE).

In 2007, the company's net profit stood at 6.98 million lei.

The company's turnover grew by 28 percent year-on-year to 55.45 million lei, from 43.34 million lei while annual revenues hiked 23 percent to 57.72 million lei from 47.04 million lei.

Moreover, spending nudged up 20 percent last year to 46.65 million lei from 38.83 million lei in 2007.

Turism Felix has a share capital of 49.61 million lei divided into 496.15 million shares at a face value of 0.10 lei. The majority shareholder is the financial company SIF Transilvania (SIF3) which controls 63.2 percent of shares. SIF Oltenia (SIF5) holds a 16.86 percent stake.

A company share was priced at 0.189 lei at closing today which gives the company a market value of 93.77 million lei. Shares are listed on the second tier of BSE.
