Foreign investors bring 1.6 million euros on stock exchange in January

Net inflows (differences between acquisitions and sales of shares) of foreign investors on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) stood in January at 1.6 million euros (6.78 million lei), according to figures carried by the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The overall volume of exchanges of shares in January 2009 on BVB was of 49.815 million euros.

The investments of investors in shares listed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange stood last month at some 13.06 million euros and the sales of shares were totally worth 11.45 million euros.

Non-resident individuals bought last year shares worth of 2.93 million euros and sold shares worth 1.95 million euros, while non-resident companies bought shares worth 10.12 million euros and sold shares worth 9.5 million euros. According to Agerpres,in the aforementioned period, Romanian investors bought shares worth 35.32 million euros and sold bonds worth 37.18 million euros.
