Mountain tourism between emergencies and sustainable development

Taking place on Monday at Busteni (south) are the works of the seminar called 'Mountain tourism between emergencies and sustainable development', which is aimed at assessing the situation of the mountain tourism, establishing the main existing restriction and the directions of development.
Attending the opening of the seminar, Tourism Minister Elena Udrea said she wanted to find out from local administrations and suppliers of tourism services which are their real problems. Udrea said that joint solutions for solving these issues should be found.
Minister Udrea said that it is likely stepped-up steps be made in the infrastructure of Prahova Valley (southern Romania), due to the European Youth Olympics Festival (EYOF) in 2013. Minister of Tourism Elena Udrea stressed that projects are pending this year that will lay the foundations for investments in the development of the ski area in view to the 2013 European Youth Olympics Festival.
The topics to be approached at the seminar also include: overview on the importance of mountains in Romania's tourism development, overview of tourism in mountain resorts, natural mountain inheritance etc.
