Overall value of properties evaluated in 2008 by Colliers stands at 8 billion euros

The overall value of the properties evaluated by Colliers International in 2008 stood at almost 8 billion euros, with the amount including both the market value of buildings and the residual values of land, reads a company release.
Compared to the previous years, when the main evaluations were the individual ones, associated to important privatizations, the 2008 customers focused mainly on investments funds and developers.
According to the release, Colliers International in 2008 was the exclusive evaluator of the largest portfolio of commercial properties in Romania, held by the Austrian fund Immoeast, which is also the most active investment fund in the region.
According to Colliers, 2009 will probably bring a change in the profile of customers asking for evaluations.
'We were 13 working in evaluations late last year, and we have hired two more people early this year in order to be able to take advantage of the opportunities that emerge,' Mihai Grigore, manager of the evaluation division with Colliers International explained.
Among the company's goals for 2009 is to the maintain last year's level of revenues, launch two new high potential products and implement a new quality-check system.
