Euromoney: Private Banking BCR service, the best in Romania

BCR was designated "the best bank in Private Banking in Romania," by the prestigious magazine Euromoney. The award took place at the Euromoney Award Gala, held recently in London. The Private Banking service of BCR is operational since 2004 and manages today the portfolios of over 4,000 Private Banking clients with over EUR 1 bln in "assets under management."

"This award honours us and obliges us to outdo ourselves. We obtained the Euromoney award further to the votes received from the colleagues who work in this domain, and thus represents the appreciation of the professionals. We are proud that our work has been acknowledged and we shall further work with the same professionalism and quality, putting the needs of our clients on the first place," declared Alex Titus Dumitrescu, supervisor Private Banking BCR Office.

Treichl: Erste supports BCR financially

Erste CEO Andreas Treichl has written to BNR Governor Mugur Isarescu to reassure him that the Austrian group would continue financing BCR and roll out the credit lines opened for the bank, Mediafax informs. The net profit of the BCR group, including the exceptional revenue from selling assts of RON 745.9 M, increased over two times in 2008, to a record value of RON 2.032 bln (EUR 541 M), and assets were up 9 per cent, to RON 69 bln (EUR 17.17 bln).
