Bucharest Stock Exchange drops 2 pct

The quotations of the shares listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) were down on Thursday by an average 2 percent, with the development being measured by BET-C composite index, while the stock of the financial investment companies SIF fell 2.99 percent (BET-FI index).
Trade in shares issued by 45 companies was conducted on the main BVB Regular market, of which six recorded rises in quotations, five stood steady and 34 fell.
Trading on the BVB totalled 2.5 million euros, while trading on RASDAQ amounted to 130,000 euros.
BET index showing the evolution of the 10 most liquid listed shares was down 2.57 percent, while ROTX index fell 2.54 percent. The expanded blue-chip index BET-XT was down 2.72 percent, while BET-NG index of the energy and utility companies dropped 2.99 percent.
SIF4 Muntenia stock was the most liquid with 1.08 million lei worth of trade, followed by Flamingo with 864,000 lei, Petrom with 833,000 lei and BRD bank with 681,000 lei.
