Industrial products prices grow by 1.9 pc in Jan

The industrial products prices, namely those in the home and foreign market, grew by 1.9 percent in Jan compared to the previous month, and by 7 percent to the similar time span in 2008, National Statistics Institute (INS) data say.
According to the destination, the prices of the industrial products both on the internal and the external market, increased by 1.1 percent in Jan compared to the previous month, and by 3.9 percent respectively.
The rise in the production prices amounted to 3 percent in fields such as water supply, sanitation, waste management and decontamination, to 2.1 percent in the processing industry and to 1.2 percent in the electricity, heating, methane, warm water supply and air conditioning, and to 0.3 percent in the mining industry.
As for the big industrial groups, the products of the capital goods industry registered price rises of plus 2.4 percent, while that for the energy industry grew by plus 2.3 percent, by plus 1.7 percent for consumable goods and by plus 1.5 percent in the immediate goods industry, while the prices for the durable goods dropped 0.3 percent.
