Finances had delays for payments to companies of 1.56 billion lei at the end of February

The finances had delays in payment to companies of 1.556 billion lei ( 362.6 million euro) at the end of February the minister of public finances announced on Sunday when he mentioned that he solved in the second month of the year payments of 892 million lei.

On 28 February there were 10,852 payments for VAT worth 4.63 billion lei but 8,078 payments worth 2.093 billion lei were solved in due time, and 893 worth 981 million lei were suspended. Thus, 1,881 payments worth 1.556 billion lei are delayed, the finances announced, also mentioning that the ministry of finances and the national agency of fiscal administration (ANAF) will finalise this month the draft for the amendment of VAT recovery.

In February, VAT payments worth 892 million lei out of which they recovered 577 million lei, " the difference being subject to compensation with payment obligations to the general consolidated budget" the finances show.
