BCR Leasing IFN financed EUR 462 M worth of assets in 2008

BCR Leasing IFN in 2008 reported a total volume of asset finance of EUR 462 M, higher by nearly 16 per cent compared to the previous reporting period, the company informs in a press release, according to Agerpres. The BCR Leasing IFN portfolio of new lease agreements signed by the end of December was 73 per cent passenger and commercial vehicles, 20 per cent industrial equipment and machinery and seven per cent real estate leasing. BCR Leasing IFN reports 25 per cent increase of financing in the vehicle segment at the end of 2008.
In the passenger vehicle segment, the total value of financed assets was EUR 147 M, standing for about 32 per cent of the total portfolio. Commercial vehicles accounted for nearly 40 per cent, with a total value of new contracts amounting to EUR 189 M. ‘In the context of the current economic circumstances, BCR Leasing IFN will seek to make internal processes more cost-effective by identifying innovative distribution and communication solutions, by securing funding sources and ensuring business stability. We act as real partners for our customers with whom we have concluded over 60,000 lease agreements', said BCR Leasing IFN General Manager Emanuil Stanescu.
