Asirom, Omniasig and Allianz Tiriac top general insurance companies

Starting 2009, the PRIMM - Insurances&Pensions magazine will grant awards to the general and life and the brokerage insurance companies topping the insurance companies, in all Romania's counties and Bucharest, reads a PRIMM release.

For the purpose, the magazine classified the insurance companies in all the 41 Romanian counties and Bucharest Municipality based on the gross underwritten premiums (GUP), reported by the insurance companies active on the market.

Thus, ten insurance companies share the local markets, namely Allianz Tiriac tops the general insurance companies ranking first in eight counties and in Bucharest, while Asirom and Omniasig get 14 first positions, each.

The ratings rely on the GUPs of each of the 41 Romanian counties plus Bucharest Municipality.
