Grand Arena Mall opens today

EuroInvest Intermed is opening the Grand Arena Mall in Berceni, Bucharest, after an investment of EUR 187 M, Mediafax informs.

‘We estimate an annual traffic of eight to ten million customers', EuroInvest Intermed representative Mikael Harfi stated at a press conference yesterday. He added that the Grand Arena was the biggest investment in a mall in Bucharest ever made. The mall stands on 120,000 sq m on two floors and had 2.100 parking places, the developer said.

The Grand Arena Mall hosts 180 boutiques on a total area of 50,000 sq m. The two ‘anchors' of the shopping centre are Carrefour and Flanco World.

Carrefour Romania Marke­ting Director Andreea Mihai said: ‘We have opened the seventh Carrefour in Bucharest and the 27th in the country at the Grand Arena'. She added that Carrefour's investment in its new hypermarket had been about EUR 20 M.
