Transelectrica posts 2008 net consolidated profit at 50 million lei

The company Transelectrica reached up to a net consolidated profit worth 50 million lei, that is a growth by 27-percent on the previous year's profit, which stood at 39.342 million lei, and a drop by 0.7 percent compared with the net profit of 50.346 million lei posted in 2007, according to a report released by the company for analysts and investors.

The net profit per share stood at 0.57 lei, compared with 0.71 lei a year before.

The company's consolidated turnover stood slightly below the preliminary one, namely at 2.89 billion lei, as against 2.923 billion lei in 2007.

Transelectrica's revenues totalled 3.029 million lei (2.996 billion lei a year before), with expenditures having amounted to 2.414 billion lei (compared with 2.945 billion lei in 2007).

Investments made by the plant last year stood at 344.002 million lei, without VAT, out of which 252 million lei were from its own sources.
