Bucharest Stock Exchange rises 4 pct

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) rose more than 4 percent on Tuesday, thus recovering nearly the entire fall recorded in the previous session.
The stock quotations were up by an average 4.09 percent, with the development being measured by BET-C composite index, while the stock of the financial investment companies (SIF) were up 4.89 percent (BET-FI index).
Trade in shares issued by 57 companies was conducted on the BVB main Regular market; 40 of those companies recorded appreciations of the quotations, seven stood unchanged and 10 fell.
Trade on the BVB totalled 3.821 million euros (16.18 million lei), while trade on the RASDAQ amounted to 417,285 euros.
BET index of the 10 most liquid listed stock increased 3.91 percent, while ROTX index was up 3.76 percent. The expanded blue-chip index BET-XT relating the 25 most liquid stock climbed 4.32 percent, while BET-NG index of the energy and utility companies was up 2.29 percent.
The most liquid shares were BRD with trading of 4.62 million lei, Antibiotice Iasi with 1.62 million lei, Erste Bank with 1.31 million lei and Banca Transilvania with 1.31 million lei.
