Bucharest Stock Exchange closes lower

Shares on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) on Tuesday fell 1.15pc in average, as shown by the BET-C composite index; the five financial investment companies (SIFs, the evolution of which is reflected by the BET-FI index) fell by a sharper 5.01pc.
Shares of 55 issuers changed hands on the main BVB market, the ‘Regular', 17 of which scored an appreciation in quotations, six kept flat and 32 scored a decline.
BVB trades amounted to 6.47 million euros (RON 26.699 million), whilst trades carried out on the RASDAQ over-the-counter market stood at 169,214 euros.
The BET index that reflects the evolution of the most liquid ten listed issuers fell 1.68 percentage points, whereas the ROTX index lost 0.17 pct. The extended blue-chip index BET-XT fell 2.86pc and the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG dropped 0.86pc.
The top liquid issuers were BRD - with trades worth RON 3.52 million; SIF 5 Oltenia - RON 2.5 million; SIF 2 Moldova - RON 2.12 million; SIF 1 Banat Crisana - RON 2.03 million.
