Second Consulates Show in Arad

The diplomatic missions of 13 countries answered took the invitation extended by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (CCIA) of Arad County (western Romania) and attended the second Consulates Show in Romania that opened at the Expo Arad International, in Arad, on Friday.
The aim of the show is to put in touch the local administrations of counties such as Arad, Satu Mare (north-western Romania), Bihor, Timis, Caras-Severin and Hunedoara (all in western Romania) and the economy advisers of the foreign embassies and the general and the honorary consulates to Romania, said CCIA manager Nicolae Grosan.
Attending the event in Arad are officials of the embassies of Hungary, Bulgaria, the UK, Belarus, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Poland and of the consulates general of Serbia, Germany, Italy and the honorary consulates of France, Austria and the Netherlands.
'On the other hand, 27 city halls showed interest in meting and discussing with the diplomatic officials and tabling them draft projects on major infrastructure, such as sewerage, roads, bridges, water and natural gas supply, plots of land, industrial halls, spaces for sale or for rent, all seeking to attract foreign investors, the role these economy officials have to play in finding partners and investors in the opportunities the local administrations present. Likewise, 20 companies of Arad County attended the show with a view to finding business opportunities,' the CCIA official stressed.
