Two co-generation plants to be built in Romania

Two natural gas-fired co-generation plants will be built in Romania, one in Slanic Moldova, and one in Giurgiu, said, on Thursday, head of the Committee for Industries and Services of the Chamber of Deputies Iulian Iancu.
The official participated in a conference of Evaluation of energy policies and practices in Romania.
There are two projects for the achievement of co-generation energy capacities. The first will be made as part of the project Slanic Moldova - Green City. There will be a production capacity in co-generation of mixed kind, for the city, with natural gas and biomass. There is a pilot project for the efficiency of the production of energy, of consumption, the fall in consumption and the good use of the biomass. The co-generation plant in Giurgiu will be fired by natural gas, ' said Iulian Iancu.
In the rural area in Slanic Moldova, there will be built a thermal power plant fired by biomass, connected to solar panels.
'We will carry out the feasibility studies for the achievement of these projects. The money will come from the environment fund, from the Ministry of Agriculture for biomass and from the Ministry of Economy for energy efficiency as well as from private investors, ' Iulian Iancu also said.
