Finance Ministry sells treasury bills worth almost 1.75 billion lei

The Finance Ministry (MFP) on Monday drew almost 1.749 billion lei (1 euro=4.15 lei) through an issue of treasury bills with discount auctioned via the National Bank (BNR) of Romania.

The treasury bills are falling due in three months and the weighted-average level of the discount rate stood at 11.23 percent.

The total value of the issue accounted for 1.5 billion lei, with the total buy bids of the 12 banks in the tender having stood at 2.72 billion lei.
