New ship launch at Tulcea shipyard

The sixth ship built in 2009 was launched to the water on Saturday, at STX Ro Offshore Shipyard in Tulcea (east).

According to the shipyard manager Tudorel Topa, this ship is the latest in a series of 10, of the same make, contracted with Norwegian company STX Norway Offshore AS Brattvaag.

With some 2,2000 tons of processed metal, the ship is 73.2 meters in length, 20 meters wide and is more than 9 meters high, being set to service the marine platforms.

Built in a proportion of 70 percent by the shipyard in Tulcea, the ship is to leave next week with destination Norway.
