Romanian-Israeli talks on tourism

Romanian Minister of Tourism, Elena Udrea on Monday, June 1, met in Tel Aviv with Israeli counterpart Stas Misezhnikov, agreeing on the need to establish an efficient collaboration framework between the two states in the tourism field, reads a release of the Tourism Ministry (MT).
The twp officials talked about the establishment of a committee due to gather representatives of the tourism ministries and travel operators of Romania and Israel. Elena Udrea met with the most important actors of the Israeli tourism market, as well as with investors in the field. They were interested in the spa tourism, agro tourism and Bucharest tourism. Attending the meeting were representatives of prominent companies such as BB Gravier, Yehie, Sinaia Hotel, Vista Hotel and Hotel Tirol, Ophir Hotel, Arkia, Star Tours, Gheset Tours, Progress Tours, Rimon Tours, Mamograph Ltd, Visart Ltd, Panorama Ltd.
According to the Tourism Ministry, Israeli agents and tour operators hailed the re-establishment in Romania of the Tourism Ministry and asked support for the promotion of Romanian tourist destinations in Israel. Elena Udrea assured Israeli tourism agents that there is obvious progress made in the fields associated to Romanian tourism, that the state and private domestic investments are making joint efforts for Romania's transformation into a competitive tourism destination at international level.
Tourism Minister Elena Udrea and Foreign Affairs Minister Cristian Diaconescu are part of Romania's delegation which accompanies Romania's President Traian Basescu in the state visit he is paying to Israel.
