Blue Air launches Bucharest-Nice flight as of July 2

Blue Air will launches as of July 2 a flight between Bucharest and Nice, being the first low-cost company providing flights to this destination, reads a release of the company.

The flight will be active between July 2-Sept. 20. The introduction of the new destination is bound to diversify passengers' connection on this route. The price is 47 euros per segment, all taxes included.

'By the release of the route, Blue Air fructifies an excellent opportunity, meeting its own passengers demands of traveling to this destination with tourist and business purposes. Therefore, Blue Air follows the vision of providing services tailored to the complexity of passengers' needs,' said Blue Air's general manager Adrian Ionascu.

Blue Air is the leader of the low-cost airline market in Romania with a market share of some 40 percent.

For 2009, the company estimates a rise of 10-15 percent in the number of transported passengers, with 8,000 passengers more in January compared to January 2008. The company is held by businessman Nelu Iordache with a 80-percent stake, whilst Gheorghe Racaru and Romstrade company hold 10 percent each.
