First Romanian LPG terminal to be built in Midia Port

Octogon GAS & Logistics SRL, a company set up in 2008, announced on Friday it would start building the first Romanian sea liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) terminal in Midia Port (Romanian Black Sea shore).
The terminal designed for a total capacity of 4,000 cu.m will cover almost 24,000 sq.m in the Midia port area, and the investment worth 8.8 million euros is financed by the Banca Transilvania, Company's general manager Bogdan Idu told Agerpres.
'The sea LPG terminal will be the most modern in the Black Sea area and will be fully automatic and it meets all the EU and the US laws on environment's safety and protection', Idu said.The gas stored here will be supplied to the clients by train, tankers and barges, he added.
Investors expect the fist LPG tanker to be downloaded in the terminal early in 2010.
