AGERPRES - Romanian News Agency - 10 Iunie 2009
The head of the Department for European Affairs (DAE), Minister Vasile Puscas, asks the involved institutions to take an active part in establishing Romania's stand in the process of public consultation about the tender for the certificates of greenhouse gas emissions.
According to a DAE release, Puscas made this appeal during the conference coordinating European affairs.
The Minister of European Affairs informed the members of the committee coordinating European affairs that, recently, the European Commission announced the beginning of the process of public consultation about the greenhouse gas emissions.
The target groups that are requested to take part in the consultation process are represented both by all the natural and legal persons wanting to get involved and by the relevant authorities of the member states, the ETS installation operators, the participants in the carbon market, the social partners, professional organizations and any other factors that are interested.
The consultation aims at all the aspects of the post-2012 tenders and establishes a schedule of events, the frequency of these tenders, the volume of certificates traded at a tender, the confidentiality of information and the monitoring of events, reads the above-mentioned release.
The Department for European Affairs has already initiated a consultation schedule for the governmental institutions that are interested. All the other factors are invited to examine the document submitted to public debate, also reads the release mentioned before.
