Foreign investment in the BVB increased by 16% in May

Placements of the non-residential investors on the market of capital increased by 16% in May, at 223.6 million lei (53.6 mil.euro), while Romanian investment reduced by 12% according to BVB statistics.
At the same time, Romanian investors were the ones who had the biggest placements on the domestic capital market in May, of 760 million lei ( 182.1 mil.euro) with net sales of 22.7 million lei ( 5.44 mil.euro).
Natural persons continued to be more active than institutional investors, making over 54% of the local turnover. Foreign investors closed the month with a positive balance of 30.8 million lei (7.4 mil.euro), the sales being 96.8 million lei (23.1 mil.euro).
Out of the total volume of May, 76% was made by Romanian investors while non-residents traded only 22%, the rest being made by aggregate accounts. The balance of aggregate accounts was negative and for this month of 8.1 million lei (1.9 mil.euro).
