ACT Media – news agency - 19 Iunie 2009
The pharmaceutical and medical service sectors ranked first from the legal point of view in 2008, according to a classification made by the lobby and government relations agency Point Public Affairs.
The study was made for a number of 24 fields, of which we can find besides the top 10 fields, refreshments, constructions and building materials, cosmetics, car industry, chemical, extractive, metallurgical, textile, media and advertising, wood processing, tree growing, transport, tourism and tobacco.
The criteria taken into account in establishing the top 10 had in view the national and European legislation adopted in 2008, the existence of an authority in the fields considered the need for the existence of special functioning license and the extent to which the respective activities were public services. According to these criteria, the top 10 included the following fields in 2008:
- Pharmaceutical
- Medical services
- Electrical energy
- Food industry
- Financial-banking
- Oil and gas
- Agriculture
- IT &C
- Alcoholic beverages
- Animal husbandry
"In fields where markets are controlled by imposed prices or strict operation conditions like for telecommunications, the financia-banking sector, alcoholic beverages, electrical energy, natural gas or pharmaceutical industry, there is a need for increased responsibility of Romanian authorities in making decisions, through a more ample and more serious consulting process with the parties affected as it happens in EU", said Laura Florea, Managing Partner Point Public Affairs.
