Kurt Strohmayer, former JW Marriott manager, to invest in tourism

The General Manager of JW Marriott in Bucharest, Kurt Strohmayer, resigned at the beginning of this month, after six years of activity. Nonetheless, the Austrian and his family have decided to stay in Romania.
Strohmayer announced that he would found his own counseling comtany for hotels, as he declared to us at the closing ceremony of his activity at the JW Marriott hotel. The businessman is determined to focus on Romanian tourism and on investors from various regions of Romania.
Strohmayer outlined that he was highly interested in the development of therapeutic resorts and thermal springs. Other areas suited for tourism that stirred Strohmayer's interest were the Danube Delta and the Black Sea, as well as mountain areas and monasteries.
The new Manager of JW Marriott is the Israelite Igael Porecki, who became the General Manager of the Marriott and Courtyard hotels (a brand of the Marriott chain) in Tbilisi, Georgia. Porecki had graduated Hotel Management and speaks fluent English, German and Romanian, according to his CV posted on the website of the company. He expressed his delight that he was appointed in this new position and declared that the economical crisis would not prevent him from attempting to equal the financial results of previous years.
