Citi: The reliable implementation of IMF program shall be helpful for Romania

In spite of the significant risks posed by implementation, we believe that the financing program contracted by Romania from IMF, EU and from other international financial institutions shall probably reduce the burden of adjustment in Romania and shall improve the medium term prospect", according to a Citi report, which provides a comparative analysis between the developments in Romania and in Bulgaria. "Although Romania and Bulgaria had high external deficits when they entered the crisis, there are strong grounds to believe that the nature and pace of adjustment of these gaps shall be different", Citi report outlines.
