Foreign investors purchase financial instruments worth some EUR 140 M

Purchases made by foreign investors on the stock market exceeded sales by EUR 7.2 M during January-July 2009, according to data issued yesterday by the Romanian National Securities Commission (CNVM), quoted by Agerpres.  

During the given interval, foreigners purchased on the capital market financial instruments worth EUR 138.718 M and sold worth EUR 131.504 M. Foreign capital inflows on the stock exchange totaled EUR 90.834 M, almost EUR 30.7 M higher than outflows, which stood at EUR 60.166 M, according to data collected by CNVM.

Foreign capital inflows on the stock exchange in July 2009 amounted to EUR 4.375 M, against capital outflows worth EUR 3.977 M. The volume of acquisitions made by foreign investors on the Romanian capital market totaled EUR 5.357 M, RON 22.589 M respectively, while the sales volume in the market was EUR 4.831 M, with net sales worth EUR 526,000.
