Romania's stock market ends another session in the red, all indexes dropping more than 3%

Indexes on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) lost more than 3 percent on closing and the five financial companies known as SIF plummeted 3.55 percent, following sharp declines on the global markets.
The BET index reflecting the evolution of the ten best companies on BSE fell 3.44 percent to 4,043.22 and the BET-C composite index assessing all listed shares minus financial companies lowered 3.69 percent to 2,392.65.
The BET-FI index of the five SIFs plunged 3.55 percent to 20,385.42 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna tumbled 4.03 percent to 8,527.19.
The BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid companies slipped 3.47 percent to 393.61 and the BET-NG index showing the evolution of the power market reduced 3.54 percent to 518.52.
In Europe, the FTSE index in London lost 0.89 percent to 4,777.03 and the DAX index in Frankfurt dropped 1.11 percent to 5,268.14. The CAC40 index in Paris declined 1.33 percent to 3,535.77.
Shares of Romania's fifth lender by assets Banca Transilvania were the most traded on BSE following deals of 5.79 million lei and eased 0.65 percent to 1.54 lei.
Second bank by assets BRD SocGen (BRD) plummeted 5 percent to 11.40 lei and Austrian lender Erste Bank (EBS) dipped 5.54 percent to 116 lei.
SIF Oltenia (SIF5) fell 3.6 percent to 1.07 lei, SIF Transilvania (SIF3) depreciated 4.13 percent to 0.58 lei and SIF Moldova (SIF2) went down 3.65 percent to 0.925 lei.
Top oil company Petrom (SNP) lowered 5.45 percent to 0.243 lei and oil refinery Rompetrol Rafinare (RRC) declined 2.04 percent to 0.048 lei.
