Romania - ten positions up in economic freedom chart

Romania rose ten positions, to 73 out of 141 states, in a classification regarding economic freedom, according to the report Economic Freedom of the World 2009, drafted by the Canadian institute Fraser, Mediafax informs.
The economic climate in Romania obtained 6.79 points out of a possible total of ten in the edition 2009 of the top, against 6.46 points in 2008. The survey analyzes the extent to which the regulations and the institutions of the states support the economic freedom, using 42 indicators, grouped in five general categories, respectively dimension of the state staff, legislative system and ownership rights, access to funds, freedom of international trade and regulation degree.
Romania ranked 123 in terms of dimension of state staff (with 4.9 points out of ten possible), position 67 in terms of legislative system and ownership rights (with 5.8 points), respectively 53 in terms of access to funds (with 8.9 points).
