Pogonaru:Foreign investors are puzzled by what is happening in Romania
ACT Media - 30 Septembrie 2009
Florin Pogonaru, the president of the Businessmen's Association of Romania is worried by political unrest and has received negative signals from foreign investors.
"Businessmen are sending me e-mails wondering what is happening in Romania. Unfortunately their questions tend to generalize at the level of the whole business community", Pogonaru says. The head of BAR is disappointed by the most recent political evolutions and considers that a public signal made by the business class would serve to nothing.
"The political class is so preoccupied with itself that any message coming from the economic environment would be ignored," Pogonaru showed. He admits that everywhere in the world the election period is accompanied by small battles, but in Romania the admitted magnitude was exceeded. "We will see what Romania will look like after elections. Everywhere election campaigns are dominated by a struggle of ideas, strategies and not the crap we see in Romania. I am worried by what is happening now and hope that after elections we will return to the priorities of Romanian economy."
