Romania is going to support increase in EU states' contribution to Black Sea Synergy

The Secretary of State for European Affairs Bogdan Mazuru is going to lead the Romanian delegation to the 21th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member states of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (OCEMN) to be held on Thursday, in Baku, reads a release of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE).
The main messages of the Romanian delegation will target the continuation and amplification of the reform process under the OCEMN, the increase in the contribution of the EU member states and also of the non-member states to the implementation of the Black Sea Synergy, the creation of an adequate framework for the intensification of the interaction between the OCEMN and the EU, as well as the attraction of EU funds.
The meeting of the Foreign Affairs Ministers will also mark the final report of the ongoing presidency of the OCEMN held by the Republic of Azerbaijan (which presided over May 1- October 31, 2009), as well as the takeover by Bulgaria.
There will also be adopted at the meeting a series of resolutions and recommendations meant to contribute to the intensification of cooperation under the OCEMN, and to the increase in the presence and role of the Organization in the Black Sea area, as well as in the extended region of the Black Sea.
