Radu Merica: With political support, the German companies in energy could invest more in Romania

German investors in energy will come to Romania to contribute to the development of energy infrastructure, but only when the state offer facilities and whn the political class will draw the attention to promote commercial relations with Germany, Radu Merica - chairman of the Romanian - German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and chairman of the German developer ECE Projektmanagement, in an interview offered to the Forum Invest.

.« Germany admitted 8 years ago the importance of renewable energy. It is world leader in the production of solar panels and I think that out of all countries it has the highest percentage quota of wind energy. If we consider solar energy, Romania has with 30% more sun than Germany, thus it could produce more solar energy than Germany. The moment there will be incentives from the state, to encourage the implementation of the ecological solutions for energy generation I am convinced that there will be companies interested to contribute to the development of the energy infrastructure" Merica said. The fourth edition of the international Forum Energy in Central &Eastern Europe will be organized by Forum Invest in Bucharest between 2 and 4 November 2009 to identify the main issues of players in the sector and of the regional market in the domain.
