BNR: The players in industry and constructions, affected by high interest rates and leu depreciation
ACT Media - 27 Octombrie 2009
Besides the financial blockage, the foreign exchange rate and the level of interest rates place pressure on the activity of companies in industry and constructions, the bulletin of BNR for October showed.
Approximately 40% of the industrial companies of 56% of the total number of operators in constructions indicate the restrictive influence of demand on the good undertaking of production activity.
Another factor with negative impact is financial blockage whose action is felt by a fifth of the total number of industrial companies of the 57% of the construction interviewees.
Next there are the high rates of credit interest, the depreciation of the national currency and insufficient raw materials.
The number of employees will be placed on the descending trend both in industry and in constructions ( balance - 26% and -36 % respectively).
In October there will no amendments in the production prices of the two sectors of the economy under analysis, the share of opinions about the stability of the indicator which grew up to 89% and 94% respectively.
Investments will be placed at a similar level to the previous period both in industry and constructions - according to the opinion of almost 86% of the operators. The rate of profitability in industry will not be changed against the previous month; in constructions there is likely to have a slight improvement of economic performance ( + 9%).
The ascending trend of industrial production will be kept during October but it is unlikely to strengthen the rhythm by comparison to the previous period, under the conditions where the positive balance of opinions was reduced ( from 15% to 10%). The worsening of climatic change will generate the interruption of the ascending trend in constructions, the balance lowering to a level of 41% at a slightly negative value.
The majority of the companies in the two sectors will continue to have a sufficient volume of production capacities, thus being the response of almost 84% of the total of interviewees with industrial and construction activity.
The most possible estimates were formulated by 92-93 % of the total number of interviewees in the industry of transport means and extracting field, but by all managers in the industry of oil production, coal production and nuclear fuel treatment and in the industry of IT and Radio_TV.
