Romania's leasing market plunges 74% in the first nine months, to EUR 1.07bn

Romania's leasing market fell 74 percent in the first nine months, to 1.07 billion euros, following drop of business on the auto and equipment segments, said the president of the Leasing Companies Association (ALB), Jean-Claude Boloux.
It stood at 4.18 billion euros in the first nine months last year.
On the auto financing segment, business lowered 76 percent to 685.63 million euros, while on the equipments one, the decline was of 77 percent, to 209.95 million euros.
However, leasing companies reported "a better evolution" on the real estate segment, sector that reduced 40 percent to 183.09 million euros, according to Boloux.
