Assets of the five financial companies SIF hike 8.1% in October, to lei 7.4bn

Net assets of the five financial companies known as SIF kept growing in October, by 8.1 percent over the previous month, to 7.4 billion lei, but the capitalization of the sector reduced 16 percent.

At the end of September, net assets of the five SIFs totaled 6.85 billion lei, 4.2 percent up from the previous month.

The biggest increase of net assets in the past month was seen at SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1), of 24.77 percent, to 1.6 billion lei. On the other hand, SIF Transilvania (SIF3) had the largest net assets at the end of October, of 1.61 billion lei, up only 3.98 percent from the previous month.

SIF Muntenia (SIF4) saw assets grow 5.29 percent last month to 1.47 billion lei, while SIF Oltenia (SIF5) saw assets climb 4.25 percent to 1.56 billion lei. SIF Moldova (SIF2) reported the mildest advance of assets in October, of 3.82 percent, to 1.14 billion lei.
