ING : We see an economic growth of 1.6% for this year and the diminution of bankruptcy cases
ACT Media - 5 Ianuarie 2010
The resumption of economic growth with up to 1.6% in 2010 ( if the risks do not materialise)a construction market in stagnation, the stoppage of the Prima Casa programme and fewer bankruptcy cases agaisnt 2009 - these are the lines of the prognosis made by the head economist of ING Bank, Nicolae Chidesciuc.
According to his opinion, in 2010 there will be a growth of 1.6% starting with September. Unfortunately, the risks remain significant and they are connected to domestic factors. It is about the evolution at the level of politics, those of fiscal policy¸agriculture as well as foreign policy. The possibility of a drop in global economy, which would draw the Romanian economy, especially as the situation is more fragile than in 2007 - 2008. The construction domain will not come back in 2010 after the fall of 2009 as the demand dropped a lot and the perspectives are dark taking into consideration the reforms that have to be implemented in the public sector and the fragility of the coming back for the private sector. As a consequence, the activity on the real estate market will be reduced and there will not be any coming back of the prices. As regards a new flow of bankruptcy in 2010, the macroeconomic situation shows signs of improvement and all solutions are at our disposal, says Chidesciuc.
