Volksbank Austria offers bonds with main guarantor, in Romania

A new category of financial instruments, the bonds with main guarantor issued by Oesterreichische Volksbank AG (Volksbank, Austria) was registered at the request of a Romanian intermediary, informed the Central Depository in a release sent to Agerpres on Tuesday.
The basket of shares issued by Verbund Voestalpine, OMV and Telekom Austria are the active support for the bonds with main guarantor issued by Oesterreichische Volksbank AG (Volksbank, Austria) and the Central Depository registered them on Monday.
The novelty of this financial instrument recorded in the RoClear system, resides in the fact that its active support is a basket of stocks, and it enables the diversification of the Romanian investors' portfolios, emphasized Central Depository general manager Adriana Tanasoiu.
The certificates with main guarantor issued by the by Oesterreichische Volksbank AG are due back in three years (Dec. 30, 2009 - Dec. 29, 2012) and the face value of a certificate is worth 1,000 euros, the issue amounting to 2,000,000 euros.
The bonds are traded on the Vienna Stock Exchange starting Dec. 30, 2009. Oesterreichische Kontrollbank AG (OeKB) is the issuer's designated Depository.
